Chuck is a pastor in Virginia. After ten years in the secular workplace following college, our family
moved to Ft. Worth, Texas for four years at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Chuck's
been in vocational ministry for over twenty-one years now- three as an associate pastor working
with youth and young adults, and the remainder as a pastor. Recently, after over twenty years in
full-time vocational ministry, he served a little over a year as a bi-vocational pastor to help start a
new church in a rural community in central Virginia. In March 2009 he started a new pastorate in
northern Virginia-
Faith Bible Church. His passion is in preaching and teaching, and more recently
in the areas of church renewal and revival. You can view his basic faith statement
here.
Lari’s started a new job as Membership Coordinator for a large commercial real estate association
in Herndon, Va. We're parents of two grown children and grandparents of two grandsons. Chuck
likes kayaking and camping; Lari also likes kayaking and camping- except for the kayaks and the
camps, for which she likes to substitute shopping malls and hotels! One of Chuck’s recent
interests is shooting. He and their two children have joined a local shooting range and shoot at
least weekly. They’ve even managed to get Lari out once or twice! Chuck has become so interested
that he recently became a GLOCK Certified Armorer to be able to repair and maintain their pistols.
(If you have a GLOCK and need any work done, feel free to drop him an email!)
God's been really good to us over the years. He's blessed us with a strong marriage of over thirty-
six years (can we be that old already?!) which has endured its fair share of ups and downs. He's
blessed us with two wonderful children who've always made us proud, even more so as they've
matured into responsible adults. He's blessed us with a daughter-in-law and son-in-law who are
wonderful individuals who love and care about their spouses. And just recently He's blessed us with
two grandsons who have added a new joy to our lives- a joy we didn't know existed, but one which
we welcome more than we ever could have imagined.
